Biography: Mrs. Booth served as a First Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corp from 1942-1946. She was about 21 when she enlisted and was trained at the Dallas Methodist hospital. During the war she spent time in North Africa and Naples, Italy. She was in Africa for two or three months. In Naples, she was a surgical nurse and helped with a lot of arm and leg amputations. She also assisted with abdominal and head surgeries as well.
